Chug Kolnoa

The Chug Kolnoa - Israeli Film Club was started in December of 2006 by a small group of students who love movies. They wanted an outlet where they could get together, watch a movie, eat some popcorn and learn something at the same time. They also wanted to bring an alternative voice for Israel to campus and have successfully brought such films as the Syrian Bride, Turn Left at the End of the World, and Yossi & Jagger to the UCSB campus. In the Spring of 2007, the Chug Kolnoa - Israeli Film Club collaborated with several groups on campus to create the world's first Israeli Palestinian Film Festival. The festival is UCSB's beginning of a truly meaningful path towards peace and understanding in the Middle East.
