Shorts
This year, the Israeli Palestinian Film Festival will be adding a new feature,
the inclusion of short films in our festival line-up. Due to the generous support
of the Other Israel Film Festival, we are pleased to announce the screenings of
the following short films before each feature film.

The Red Toy
Director: Dani Rosenberg
Mohamad, an Arab child from the old city of Jerusalem, finds a red toy and misplaces
it.The toy wanders around the alleys of the city, handed from one person to another,
between rulers and subjects, strangers and locals, while the police surveillance
cameras are watching from above.

ROADS
Director: Lior Geller
13-year-old Ismayil searches for a new life for him and his brother outside the
Arab drug slums of Lod. Daniel, a traumatized Israeli ex-soldier, buys drugs
from Ismayil escaping his own reality. Here, deep in the sewers of Israeli society,
they just might find in each other their way out.

Director: Mirey Brantz
Lovers parting, families traveling, businessmen commuting - a Tel-Aviv bus is the
setting for an unexpected confrontation brought on by fear and panic.
Israel - 2008 - 7 minutes
Dark Night
Director: Leonid Prudovsky
An Israeli military jeep, returning to base from patrol late at night, strikes
a landmine while still in hostile territory. Two of the soldiers survive the
blast only to be trapped in a Palestinian town teeming with militants. They
seek refuge in the nearest house, inhabited by a Palestinian couple. As the
night progresses, and the situation becomes more desperate, the soldiers
discover something about the couple, which may lead to a solution.
